Delores J. Masters of Juniper Village at the Shenango Inn, formerly of Griswold Street, both Sharon, passed away peacefully in her residence at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday (6-9-15) after an extended illness. She was 81. Mrs. Masters was born in Farrell at home on Dec. 4, 1933, one of three children born to Alexander David Amico Sr. and Mary Kohut Amico. She was raised in Farrell and was a member of Farrell's graduating class of 1951. She retired from the office of Dr. S. Jerome Schnall, DPM, where she was a secretary for 34 years. In her early years she was a secretary for several Sharon businesses including Protected Home Circle, Miller Shoes, and the Sharon Medical Clinic. A homemaker, she belonged to St. Joseph Church, Sharon. Her husband, John Paul "Buff" Masters, whom she married July 30, 1955, passed away July 17, 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Masters Wooten and her husband Jon, Fort Worth, Tex.; and Paula A. Masters Pisegna and her companion Gene, Sharon; three sons, Dr. Thomas R. Masters and his wife Dr. Carolyn Masters, Erie; John David Masters and his wife Denise, Hubbard; and Paul J. Masters of Clark and his girlfriend Shari of Meadville; a brother, Rev. Alex D. Amico, pastor of St. Paul's Italian Parish, Erie; nine grandchildren, Alex (Stacey), Nicole, Heather, Heidi, TJ, Jonathan (Charlotte), Lauren (Dante) Di Lorenzo, John Jr. (Jessica) and DJ; and her great-granddaughter, Scarlet, whom she adored. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul D. Amico. Her family would like to thank the kind people at Juniper Village and at Three Rivers Hospice and Palliative Care for the gentle care shown toward their mother in her time of need; it was truly appreciated.
