Delores S. "Dolly" Lucas, of Farrell, passed away early Thursday morning, January 24, 2019, in her residence. She was 91.

Mrs. Lucas was born April 28, 1927, in N. Braddock, PA, a daughter of the late George and Susan (Katchmam) Ondich. She was a lifelong area resident and 1945 graduate of Farrell High School, where she was active in student government.

Dolly married Paul F. Lucas in November 1947, and he proceeded her in death on November 1, 1995.

She was an amazing woman and a wonderful friend.

Dolly was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage, where she was actively served on many church committees, and her love for children inspired her to volunteer as a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.

She will be sorely missed, but is now in the hands of God.

Dolly is survived by two daughters, Paula (Bill) Spon, Farrell, and Elona Ruffo, Wichita, KS; a sister, Evelyn Elsie Ondich, Sharon; four grandchildren, Ben (Carrie) Spon, Brad (Gina) Spon, Carla (Kyle) Taggart, and Philip (fiancé, Jill) Ruffo; six great grandchildren, Zach and Brady Spon, Alex Court, Braiden Ruffo, Olivia and Violet Taggart, and Amiyah Scott; several cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dolly was preceded in death by two brothers, George and John Ondich; and a son-in-law, Randy Ruffo.

The family would like to thank Dolly's niece, Darlene DiGiacomo, and Hartland Hospice, Hermitage, for the exceptional care they provided.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday (1-27-19) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday (1-28-19) in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage, with Rev. Donald Hake, former pastor, officiating.

Interment: Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Hermitage.
