Delores Nevada Cummins, 91, of Hickory Twp. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family early Friday morning, May 31, 2024, in her home.

Mrs. Cummins was born March 13, 1933, in New Castle, a daughter of the late William A. and Nevada P. (Pisor) Shoop.

A homemaker, Delores enjoyed collecting clowns, traveling, and sitting on the porch with her sister, Katie. She also loved to dance the "Jitterbug" in her youth.

A woman of devout faith, Delores was a longtime member of Evangel Community Church where she had served as its secretary.

Her husband of 52 years, Albert H. Cummins, Jr. whom she married April 12, 1950, preceded her in death on December 17, 2022.

Delores is survived by a daughter, Tammy Alfano (John), with whom she made her home in Hickory Twp.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Lynn Williams; two sons, an infant boy and Ronald A. Cummins; a sister, Katie Stokes; three brothers, William, Richard, and Alfred Shoop; a son-in-law, David J. Zeronas; and a niece, Kathleen Exposito.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday (6-4-24)in Evangel Community Church, 1530 Harlansburg Road, New Castle, with Rev. Bob Strobel and Rev. Harry Edenhofer, co-officiating.

Interment: Graceland Cemetery, Neshannock Twp.
