Debra (Clarke) Tamber of Hermitage passed away at 1:17 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 62.
Debra was born January 30, 1957, in Sharon, a daughter of Kenneth Splitstone, Sr. and Mary (Brown) Splitstone. She was raised in Wheatland and was a 1974 graduate of Farrell High School.
Debra was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Sharon and Hermitage for 31 years. She began her career as a carrier and retired in 2012 as a window clerk.
She enjoyed traveling, going to dinner with friends and visiting her grandchildren in Arizona.
In 2014, Debra married her longtime significant other, Frank J. "Puncho" Tamber, Jr. He passed away August 31, 2016.
Surviving are: her mother, Mary Splitstone, of West Middlesex; a daughter, Shawna Wright and her husband Marcus and their daughters, Aubrielle and Sienna, all of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Barbara Zirkle, of Transfer; and a brother, Bill Splitstone, of Sharpsville. Besides her husband, Debra was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Splitstone, Sr., on August 3, 2018.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, in the funeral home, with Rev. Mark Goswick, pastor of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
