Obituary

Deborah A. Martin McNeal, 68, of Liberty Township, OH, passed away Tuesday evening, June 28, 2022, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown.


Mrs. McNeal was born February 23, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Isaiah E. Martin Sr. and Willie Edna (Morton) Martin. She was a graduate of Brookfield High School, class of 1972 and earned an associate degree in Business from the former Shenango Valley School of Business. Deborah worked as an administrative assistant for George Junior Republic, Farrell Area School District and Protected Life Insurance.


Deborah loved the Lord and received baptism of the Holy Ghost in June 1980 at Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, under the leadership of Bishop Martha J. Sanders and Bishop Sallie M. Saunders. She was dedicated to her ministries and served at Hour of Power Full Gospel and Pentecostal House of Prayer both in Farrell. She was an ordained Deacon and Elder.  Deborah was active and licensed as a cancer care minister for Cancer Treatments Centers of America, Nursing Homes, Shared Hope International and its child sex trafficking prevention program, Needles Eye Christian Counseling Center and a counselor parent at George Junior Republic. She loved to read and her favorite books were primarily Christian. Deborah cherished singing on the Judah Praise team at Hour of Power Full Gospel. She enjoyed shopping and also was a movie buff, and particularly liked science fiction.


She is survived by her husband, Joseph McNeal, PhD, Liberty Township, OH; a son, Brian K. "Bubba" Sanders Jr., Hermitage; a sister, Tracey (Eric) Boamah, Columbus, OH; a brother, Isaiah E. "Ikie" Martin, Jr., Lawton, OK; and three grandchildren, Izaiah "Zay" Quimiro, Dorian Jackson and Jaquin "J" Jackson.


Besides her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kathy Martin.
