IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dean A.
Vadala
October 19, 1978 – August 8, 2024
Dean A. "Dean-O" Vadala, 45, of Brookfield, OH, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes late Thursday evening, August 8, 2024, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Dean was born October 19, 1978, in Sharon, a son of the late Rocco L. "Rocky" and Marian (Lazor) Vadala, and was a 1997 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.
For the last 15 years, he has been employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike where he began as a tollbooth operator and more recently worked for the maintenance department.
Dean was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who loved "everything sports," especially football, bocce, and softball – which he also coached for Our Gang's men's team. He was also an outdoorsman who loved to spend time at his hunting camp in Boyers, PA, where he would hunt, fish, play euchre with family, and spend time with those he loved.
Dean's big personality and friendly smile always lit up a room and drew others toward him. If his smile or personality didn't win you over, his cooking certainly would.
His beloved wife of 11 years, Carrie Ann (Rogers) Vadala, whom he married April 6, 2013, survives at their home in Brookfield.
Dean is also survived by his daughter, Katie Rogers-Vadala; and a brother, Rocco Vadala, Jr. (Mary), all of Brookfield.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Vadala.
