David L. Wadlinger, 67, of 122 Leon Dr., passed away October 6, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.
Dave was born in New Castle on May 12, 1944 to the late Bernard and Edith Holzhauser Wadlinger.
He was a 1962 graduate of Shenango High School.
Retiring in 2006, he had worked as a Produce manager for several grocery stores in the local area.
Dave was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, Local 23, and was also a member of Eagles #455. Dave was a member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary Church, where he served as an usher.
He is survived by his wife the former, Patricia A Bobosky, whom he married October 16, 1965; two daughters, Lisa A. Wadlinger, of Charlotte, N.C. and Denise L. O'Keefe (Dan) of Marysville, OH; one sister, Lois A. Woodlief (Gerald) of Kittrell, N.C.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 A.M. for St. Mary church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. The Rev. Victor J. Molka Jr., pastor, will officiate.
Internment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Jameson Hospice of Lawrence Co., 1000 S. Mercer St. New Castle, Pa, 16101.
