David Rice

David Rice, 62, of Sharpsville, passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Brookfield Twp., OH.

Mr. Rice was born on March 9, 1963, in Sharon, a son of the late Richard Rice, Sr. and Evelyn (Rainey) Chesmar. He was a 1981 graduate of Sharpsville High School.

He was the owner and operator of the former Rice Carpet and Flooring in Hermitage and the former Harvest Beer and Wine Supplies in Sharon.

Dave was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6166, Hermitage.

He was an avid hunter and loved spending time at his camp in Warren County, PA. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers.

He is survived by his wife, the former Frances Rossi, whom he married on August 12, 1995; two grandchildren, Angeleena Medovich and Domynik Ace; a sister, Margaret Johnson, of Sharon; and his three German Shepherds.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Tara Nikole Rice; and a brother and sister.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121; or an Animal Shelter of the Donor’s Choice.
