David Nelson, 85, formerly of Sharon, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, due to complications of Covid-19.

Mr. Nelson was born July 29, 1934, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Harold A. and Margaret J. (Boden) Nelson. He was a 1952 graduate of Penn Hills High School, Pittsburgh and attended Grove City College.

He honorably served in the US Army, where he was stationed in Germany.

David fostered an early love of reading and was passionate about history and all it can teach. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing and spent past summer months feeding many family members and friends with both.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Nelson; a niece, Ann Montgomery; a nephew, Casey Nelson; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold A. Nelson, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment: Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
