David J. Maurice of Sharon passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in his residence. He was 66.
Mr. Maurice was born December 4, 1950, in Sharon, a son of Henry and Bernice Wolford Maurice. He attended Hickory High School, Hermitage, and served with the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. Dave was a crane man for many years and employed at Valley Mold in Hubbard, Ohio; Trinity Industries in Greenville; and Sharon Coating, from which he retired. He was a life member of the Shenango Valley VFW, Post 1338, Sharon; and a member of the American Legion, Post 299, also Sharon; and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Farrell. Dave liked taking walks and spending time with his grandchildren. Years earlier, he enjoyed working on cars, attending car shows and vegetable gardening.
He is survived by two sons, David J. Maurice, Jr. and his wife LeeAnna, of Sharon; and Chad W. Maurice, of Kalispell, Montana; a daughter, Nancy J. Maurice, of Florida; 12 grandchildren, Jenna, Blake, Chandler and Amron Maurice; Dylan, Nicholas, Gracie, Kaden and Michael Maurice; and McKenzie Feagle; Colby King; and Aiden Maurice; three sisters, Kim Terlesky, Kathy Koosh and Connie Martin; six brothers, Mike, Pat, Jeff, Dan, Tim and Ron Maurice; and several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Military honors will be rendered at
