David M. Lucas, 87, of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes early Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Lucas was born September 30, 1937, in Sharon, a son of the late Perry and Mary (Baker) Lucas. He was a 1956 graduate of Brookfield High School and attended Youngstown State University.
A career salesman, David worked in several industries, most notably the wholesale food and candy sector.
An avid Ohio State Buckeye and Detroit Tigers fan, David shared his passion for sports with his children and grandchildren – coaching several of his son's Little League Baseball teams. His greatest joy in life was becoming a "Papa." David loved following his grandchildren's athletic achievements and attending their games.
His wife of 48 years, the former Linda Bralich, whom he married May 1, 1976, survives at home.
David is also survived by two daughters, Deborah Clawson (Phil), of Richmond, VA, Janine Dibert (Greg), Bonita Springs, FL; three sons, David Lucas, Cumming, GA, Shawn Lucas (Marilyn), Erie, PA, and Justin Lucas (Stacey), Smyrna, GA; two brothers, Perry Lucas (Debbie), Seminole, FL, and John Lucas (companion, Betsy), Cortland, OH; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Jill Lucas.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
