David James Black, 69, of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024, in his home.
David was born on March 26, 1954, in Sharon, a son of the late James R. and Lucy V. (Douds) Black. He attended Sharon School District and studied real estate at Penn State Shenango Valley Campus.
David worked as a real estate agent and later as an insurance agent for Primerica. Most recently, he was a school bus driver for the Hermitage School District. He had a great relationship with his student passengers and looked forward to interacting with them.
David was a man of strong faith, an ordained minister, and a member of Family Life Church, Hermitage.
He enjoyed investigating, especially medicine and food labels.
He is survived by a sister, Linda Scott and her husband Thomas, of Sharon.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a nephew, Edward Scott.
All services are private.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
