David S. Hunter, 77, of Sharon, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 27, 2025, in the Hospice House of Hospice of the Valley, Youngstown.

Mr. Hunter was born on February 11, 1948, in Sharon, a son of the late Howard and Myrtle (Hogue) Hunter, and graduated from Sharon High School in 1966.

For over 20 years, David worked in the warehouse department of the Interstate Chemical Company, Hermitage, until his retirement in 2017.

On March 2, 1968, he married the former Constance Chavka, who passed away March 20, 2025, following 57 wonderful years of marriage.

David looked forward to spending time on the golf course with his many friends and making everyone around him laugh with his good sense of humor. He also enjoyed watching the Steelers on Sundays, attending numerous yard sales while looking for his next find, and going to the drive-in theater with his wife.

David is survived by two daughters, Tahme Cox, of Alabama, and Krista Williams (Shawn), of New Wilmington; a son, Corey Hunter (Christy), of New Castle; a sister, Connie Matvey (Jerry), of Mercer; three grandchildren, Jeffery, Hannah, and Cody; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, David was preceded in death by four siblings, Bill, Dolly, Gary, and Shirley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
