David J. Dunn, Jr. of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in the emergency room of Doctor's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was 55.
Dave was born September 11, 1961, in Sharon, a son of David J. Dunn, Sr. and Loretta Pellis Dunn.
He was a 1979 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, where he was a standout baseball player. Dave was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for more than twenty years.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are: his mother, Loretta Tewell and her husband James, Hermitage; his father, David J. Dunn, Sr. and his wife Theresa, Jamestown, PA; two daughters, Bailey Rose Dunn, Goldsboro, NC; and Jonna Rose Dunn, Greenville, PA; a sister, Tracey L. Dunn-Kulka and her companion David Hernandez, Sr., Hubbard, OH; a half brother, Jason Robert Dunn, Transfer, PA; two step-brothers, Michael Jones and his wife Brandi, Sheakleyville, PA; and Anthony Brown, Indiana; and a nephew, Paul Kulka, Jr., Greenville, PA.
Dave was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Rose Pellis; and Robert and Eleanor Dunn; and a nephew, Kaine Kulka.
Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, December 9, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of IHS Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
