Obituary

David T. David, 92, of West Middlesex, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday evening, April 24, 2024, in his residence.

Mr. David was born December 21, 1931, in Farrell, a son of the late Joseph J. David, Sr. and Barbara (Hornak) David, and graduated from Farrell High School in 1949.

David entered the U.S. Army on July 21, 1953, and honorably served for two years prior to being discharged on June 1, 1955.

After the Army, he went to work for his Dad in the family's excavating business Joseph David & Sons. Later, he became a partner with his two brothers in the company. Eventually, he acquired the business from his brothers and continued the business under the name of David Construction Co. where his three sons worked alongside him.

David was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, where he served as an usher, volunteered with the funeral meal ministry, and was a member of the Men's Club.

David was also a very active member of the Kennedy Christian High School Booster Club for many years.

Later in life, David took up the game of golf and cherished the many rounds he was able to enjoy with his family, especially his grandchildren. A lifelong traveler, his early years were spent enjoying trips out West with his wife, Helen, and their children. During retirement, David and "H" traveled throughout the U.S., the Caribbean Islands, and Europe.

The love of his life and wife of nearly 65 years, Helen L. "H" (Stefanak) David, whom he married June 2, 1956, preceded him in death June 1, 2020.

David is survived by three daughters, Darla Yamaato (Brian), Roswell, GA, Diane David, Greenville, S.C., and Doreen Thurston (Rad), Dunwoody, GA; three sons, David T. David, Jr., West Middlesex, Daniel David (Tammy), Sharpsville, and Drew David (Jena), Oviedo, FL; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, David was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Muszik and Betty Jane Paluga; and two brothers, Joseph J. David, Jr. and Bernard N. David.
