David M. Brindisi of Farrell passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016, in his residence , after a brief illness. He was 82.
Mr. Brindisi was born January 30, 1934, in Struthers, Ohio, a son of Dominic and Rose (Presta) Brindisi.
He was a 1952 graduate of Struthers High School and served in the U.S. Army.
Dave worked at the former Radio Parts Co. (RPC) in Sharon, PA; Warren, Ohio and lastly in Youngstown, Ohio for twelve years. He then worked in the treatment plant and as a meter reader for Consumer of Ohio Water Co., which is now Aqua Ohio, and retired in 1995 from its distribution department.
He was a an active member of St. Anthony's Church, Sharon, where he sang in the choir, served on church council and helped with the annual fish fries and picnic.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Marie Parcetich, whom he married November 13, 1965; a son, Michael D. Brindisi and his wife Jennifer, New Middleton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Rydre John Brindisi and Lennox Allison Brindisi; two brothers, Dominic Brindisi and his wife Karen, Boardman, Ohio; and Frank Brindisi and his wife Rosie, Struthers, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Angelilli.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Ann Angelilli, who died February 27, 2008.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Funeral Mass will be noon Saturday, November 26, 2016, in St. Anthony's Church, Sharon, with Rev. Joseph Campbell, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hermitage.
