David M. Black, 42, of Union Twp. passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, OH, following a bicycle accident.

David was born August 1, 1983, in New Castle, a son of Larry and Michele (Adams) Black. He graduated from Union High School in 2001, where he was a member of the Championship Varsity Football Team.

For several years, David worked as an armed guard for Brinks Armed Trucking. He enjoyed staying active and participating in amateur boxing for several years.

David will be greatly missed, never forgotten, and always loved.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his son, Tyson; a sister, Wendy Wilson (Danny), New Castle; a brother, Nicholas Black (Jamie), West Middlesex; his girlfriend, Amber Perrine, New Castle; and two nieces, Maci and Ellie Black.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Geneva Black; and maternal grandparents, Nick and Maxine Adams.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday (11-14-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m., in the funeral home, with Fr. Kevin Long, officiating.
