Daryl Leroy Anderson, of 632 Victory Dr. Sharpsville, went to his eternal home at 12:43 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health Systems after a courageous battle with ALS. He was 70.
Mr. Anderson was born July 14, 1942, in Kittanning, PA a son of Paul T. and Alice M. Bittinger Anderson.
Following high school, he went on to receive an electrical certification.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from 1962 to 1964.
Daryl was employed by Wheatland Tube as a crane operator for 33 years.
Mr. Anderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sharpsville where he was a care taker for the past 4 years. He enjoyed bowling with the local 1660 fun league and a Wednesday night league; he also loved hunting, hiking, and fishing. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his wife, Geri Burns Anderson, whom he married July 11, 1987; 5 children, Daryl L. Anderson Jr. and his wife Lisa of Grove City, Crispin Anderson and his wife Leisa of Crescent, PA, Brian Anderson of Grove City, Beth Mason and her husband Joe of Sharpsville , and Andrew Clarke of Sharpsville; 5 siblings, Maxine Horstman of Hermitage, Eileen and her husband Clay Caszatt of Sharpsville, Sara and her husband Mike Yassem of Templeton, PA, Larry T. Anderson and his wife Penny of Tylertown, MS and Cheryl Canter of Farrell; 14 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews. Daryl is also survived by his beloved cat Sylvia.
In addition to his parents, Daryl is preceded in death by, a grandchild Ashton Michael Clarke; 4 brothers, Gary, Paul Jr., Randy, and Joey Anderson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Sharpsville, 603 W. Ridge Ave. Sharpsville, PA 16150 with Rev. Robbie Arnold. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for church.
Military Honors will be conducted prior to leaving for church by the West Middlesex VFW Post 6233 and the Wheatland American Legion Post 432.
