Daniel Russo, 95, a lifelong resident of Farrell passed away early Monday morning, February 5, 2024, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.

Mr. Russo was born September 6, 1928, in Farrell, a son of the late Dominick and Rose (Chieffo) Russo, and graduated from Farrell High School in 1946.

Danny proudly served in the U.S. Army and stationed throughout Europe during his duty.

For 43 and a half years, he worked at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant, retiring as a Quality Inspector in 1992.

Danny was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell. He was also a member of the Italian Home and German Home, both Farrell.

Danny enjoyed working around the house, and during his younger years, loved visiting his summer home at Geneva on the Lake and spending time at the family camp on the Clarion River.

His wife of 48 years, Mary "Stella" (Albanese) Russo, whom he married May 26, 1973, preceded him in death September 4, 2021.

Danny is survived by his step-son, Gary Ustik, and his wife, Melissa, Hermitage; a sister, Emily Guerrero, Oceanside, CA; a sister-in-law, Gloria Nitzsky, Girard, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Danny was preceded in death by a brother, Dominick Russo; and a sister, Victoria Fenelly.
