Daniel P. Joyce, Jr., formerly of S. 9 ^th St., Sharpsville, passed away at 7:50 pm Friday, December 18, 2020, in The Grove at Greenville. He was 85.

Mr. Joyce was born October 29, 1935, in Sharon, the son of the late Daniel P. Joyce, Sr. and Margaret J. (McGinley) Joyce. He was a 1954 graduate of Sharon High School and served in the Navy as a Petty Officer First Class during the Korean War.

Danny retired in 2000 as head of secondary sales for A. K. Steel (formerly Sawhill Tubular Products) where he was employed for thirty years. He previously worked as a sales representative for Prudential Insurance.

He was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, the former Jane F. Strobel, whom he married August 3, 1957; three daughters, Kerry S. Ayars, of Bensalem, PA, Amy J. Hemphill and her husband Del, of Cheswick, PA, and Kathy Belmonte, of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Matthew Belmonte, all of Lutz, FL, Lindsay Ayars, of Bristol, PA, and Casey and Corey Hemphill, both of Pittsburgh, PA; five great grandchildren, Reagan, Leanna, Daniel, Anne Marie and Mark (Eddie) Belmonte; and a sister, Alice P. Shook, of Hermitage.

Besides his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a son, Martin D. Joyce.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
