Obituary

Constance J. Tomich, John XXIII Home for Senior Citizens, and formerly of both Whispering Oaks, and Hasenflu Dr., all Hermitage, passed away peacefully Saturday (5-26-12) at 3:40 a.m. in the home of natural causes. She was 83.
Mrs. Tomich was born June 29, 1928 in Royal, Iowa, a daughter of the late Charles and Enid DeMars McCormack.
She was a 1946 graduate of Sutherland High School, Iowa.
She retired in 1989 from the former Sharon Steel Corporation's Farrell Plant where she was the Assistant to the Director of Public Relations for 16 years. Previously she was Assistant to the Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Sharon and the Director of the Downtown Sharon Business Associates.
She was a member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
Mrs. Tomich was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Sharon. She enjoyed sculpturing and water color painting and she always shared her work with her family and friends.
Her husband, Charles Tomich, whom she married October 2, 1948, passed away December10, 2010.
She is survived by her four sons, Charles C. Tomich and his wife Kathleen, Hudson, OH, Kevin S. Tomich, Moon Township, Allegheny County, Bradley N. Tomich and his wife Elaine, Granville, OH; and Neal E. Tomich, Columbus, OH; two sisters, Marilyn Bishop and her husband William, Huntingdon, PA and Sharon Webb, Knoxville, TN; one brother, Sam McCormack and his wife Ardyce, Larrabee, IA; seven grandchildren, Brian, and Connor Tomich, Mark and Dr. Keith Tomich, and Dr. Eric, Paul, and Allison Tomich, four great grandchildren, Camryn, Lucy, Evelyn, and Coulter; one sister in law, JoAnne Valetich and her husband Carl, Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Tomich, two sisters, Marjorie Schulke, and Colleen Rienfeld, and two brothers, Francis and Kenneth McCormack.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Buhl Farm Park, 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage, PA 16148.
Calling Hours: 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday (6-1-12) St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Dutch Lane, Hermitage. Friends not able to attend may e-mail condolences to McGonigleFuneralHome@verizon.net.
Services: A funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon Friday (6-1-12) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Hermitage, with Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor officiating.
Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum.
