Connie B. Schrader, 85, of Hermitage, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Connie was born November 14, 1940, in Sharon at the Christian H. Buhl Hospital to Edward and Margaret (Hilkirk) Rodocoy. She was raised on a farm near Clark, PA, with fond memories of those years.

She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1958 and continued her education at Westminster College, earning her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in childhood education. She retired as a first grade teacher from Sharpsville Area School District with a total of 32 years in education, having taught in Sharon City Schools and Reynolds School District in earlier years.

On July 26, 1963, Connie married John F. (Jack) Schrader in Clarksville Methodist Church. He passed on February 12, 2023. They had celebrated 59 years of marriage.

She was an active member of Clark Trinity United Methodist Church, the Shenango Valley Cluster of United Methodist Churches and of Pennsylvania School Retirees of Mercer County. She was also a life member of Pennsylvania State Education Association.

Connie enjoyed line dancing at the YMCA and tap dancing at the Shenango Valley Senior Center in earlier years. She was a member of the Bundle Babies Ministry. Connie has been blessed with many wonderful friends and neighbors through the years. Reading novels and working crossword puzzles were her other favorite pastimes.

Surviving are two sons, Jack Schrader, of Elkridge, MD, and Judd Schrader, of Avalon, PA. She has one brother, Edward A. Rodocoy and his wife Jean, of Hermitage; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
