Clifford M. Grear

Clifford Magellan Grear, 76, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mr. Grear was born June 21, 1950, in Sharon, PA, a son of the late Preston Grear, Jr. and Mae (Davis) Grear. A lifelong resident, he graduated from Sharon High School and proceeded to college before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

For many years, Clifford worked for Shop N’ Save in Farrell.

He loved music, especially Rhythm and Blues.

Clifford leaves to forever cherish his memory, a daughter, Courtney Halfhill (David), of Ohio; a sister, Scuownyuier “Penny” Stringfield, of Springfield, North Carolina; a nephew, Thelton Stringfield, Jr. (Shannon), of Clinton, North Carolina; a niece, Sheila Springfield, of Willard, North Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Grear.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
