Clara F. Young, 88, of Sharpsville, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Young was born on October 3, 1934, in Sharon, a daughter of the late George and Ellen (Shaffer) Finzel. She was a 1954 graduate of Hickory High School.

Clara was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sharpsville. Additionally, she was a member of the Eastern Star.

A devoted homemaker, Clara enjoyed shopping, socializing and going to dinner with her friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Perrine and her husband Don, Sharpsville, and Judy Young, all of Sharpsville; four grandchildren, Donald (Laura) Perrine, Mandy (Rodney) Griffith, Andrew (Kylie) Skladanek, and Stephanie (John) Skladanek; and six great-grandchildren, Dillon and Aiden Perrine, Carter, Elena and George Skladanek, and Jazmine Giurbino.

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Young, whom she married on August 16, 1955; a sister, Norma (Ed) Steklachick; and three brothers, George, Harold (Dottie) and Charles (Lois) Finzel.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the First United Methodist Church, 148 East Shenango St., Sharpsville, PA 16150.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday (11/21/2022) in the First United Methodist Church, Sharpsville.

The funeral service will be at noon, Monday, in the church, with Rev. Earl Butterfield, pastor, officiating.

Interment: Rickert Cemetery, Transfer.
