Clara "Ann" Lukas, 72, of Pulaski passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at her home, following a brief battle with cancer. Ann was born in New Castle on July 12, 1942, to the late Anthony and Eva Jones Torsello. She was a 1960 graduate of New Castle High School. Ann was first employed at the former Fisher's Big Wheel as an office manager, followed by her employment at M & A Distributors in the purchasing department and later at Hovis Auto Supply as a warehouse manager. Together with her loving husband and best friend, Richard J. "Rich" Lukas, whom she married Aug. 4, 1990, they presently operate Rich & Ann's Past Times & Bloomers antiques and greenhouse. Ann had a great love for her church. She was a very active and dedicated member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary Church. She enjoyed going to auctions and antique shows and working in her greenhouse. But most of all, Ann enjoyed life and being with people, her big welcoming smile will be sadly missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Rich, at home; two sons, Bill (Sheri) Burdett of New Castle and Jerry (Teresa) Burdett of Pulaski; two stepdaughters, Amy (Justin) St. John of Green Valley, Ariz., and Jodi Marie (Greg) Greer of Cranberry; a brother, Ralph (Sue) Armino of Warsaw, Ind.; and her eight grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, MaryLou Workman; her stepfather, Ralph Armino; and her stepmother, Helen Armino. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday for St. Mary Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with the Rev. William Siple serving as celebrant. Interment will be in Briar Hill Cemetery, Hickory Township.
