Obituary

Claire M. DiCristofaro, 670 S. Keel Ridge Rd. Hermitage, PA, formerly of Farrell, passed away peacefully at 5:24 p.m. on Tuesday (11-8-11) at her residence. She was 80.

Mrs. DiCristofaro was born in Westville, Gloucester County, NJ on February 11, 1931 the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth McShane Henninger.

She was a 1949 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School, a private school for girls in Philadelphia, PA.

Prior to her marriage, she worked in the payroll department of Gimbel Brothers Auditing, Philadelphia and as an operator for New Jersey Bell, Gloucester Twp., NJ.

A homemaker, she belonged to Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church, Farrell. She was a member of the Sharon Junior Women's Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bowling League, and Sharon Regional Health System's Ladies Auxiliary where she volunteered in the hospital Lobby Shop and as a patient escort. Claire also volunteered for fifteen years at Monsignor Geno Monti School, Farrell, and for five years at Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage.

Her husband Anthony Thomas DiCristofaro whom she married October 25, 1952, survives at home.

Also surviving are her two daughters, Valerie James and her husband Tony, Yorktown, VA, and Jill Hare and her husband Gary, Mt. Jackson, PA; a sister, Gloria Market, Bucks County, PA; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Pendice, Brandon Hare, Jade and Torrey James; 2 great grandchildren, Ty and Tyjah' James.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son John Daniel DiCristofaro; a sister Marnie Pantisano and a brother, Daniel Henninger.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sharon Regional Health System Hospice and Palliative Care 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage, Pa. 16148, or to Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, Pa. 16121

Services: Private funeral services are being held at the convenience of her family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
