Cindy R. Byers, 62, of Sharon passed away Thursday evening, March 30, 2023, in UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Byers was born December 26, 1960, in Farrell, she was the daughter of the late Carlos N. and Jeanette (Batchelder) Simpson.  A 1978 Sharon High School graduate, she also earned an associate degree in business from the former Business Institute of Pennsylvania (Sharon).

With a lifelong talent and passion for cooking, Cindy put her skills to good use while working for the former Southside Cafe, Deli & Food Mart in Brookfield.

She married Larry Byers on July 7, 1990, they enjoyed 32 years of marriage and he survives at home.

She liked playing cards and computer games.  Cindy was a fan of Elvis Presley and she also enjoyed photography.  Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Larry; she is survived by a daughter, Tamera Bartholomew, Girard, OH; a son, Carl Hogue, New Castle; three sisters, Linda Merchant (Bill) and Vicky Davison all of Hermitage and Robin Drummond (Terry) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, Joseph Simpson (Theresa) of Sharon; nine grandchildren, Dominic, Samantha, Steven Jr., Christian, Daniel, Benjamin, Gabriella-Linn, Hannah and Makayla; and six great-grandchildren, Anna, Michael, Silas, Scarlet, Ellie and Steven III.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Beth Fitzgerald and Guyla Campbell.

Per Cindy's request, there will be no calling hours or service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
