Service will be Sunday for Christopher Floros, formerly of Hermitage, who passed away of natural causes at noon Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, in St. Paul's, The Villas, Greenville, where he was a resident for the past three and a half months. He was 87. Mr. Floros was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Greenville, a son of Nickolas and Mary Costianes Floros. He was a graduate of the former Penn High School, Greenville, and received his bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Drexel Institute of Technology, Philadelphia. Chris served as a seaman 1st class with the Navy aboard the USS Noa in the Mediterranean Sea, post-World War II. He retired in 1994 from the former Standard Pressed Steel Co., Jenkintown, Pa., where he was employed for 38 years. He moved to Hermitage following his retirement. Surviving are two nieces, Nikki Floros Matusiak and her husband Mark, Zelienople; and Dr. Katharine M. Floros, Chicago; a nephew, Dr. Matt Floros and his wife Sabrina, Bel Air, Md.; four grandnieces, Helena and Cecilia Matusiak and Athena and Alanna Floros; four grandnephews, Alek, Dimitri and Dominik Matusiak and Ardon Floros; and a sister-in-law, Carol Floros, Hermitage. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Anastasios "Harry" and William N. Floros. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Service: A prayer service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, preceded by military honors rendered by West Middlesex Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wheatland American Legion and Farrell VFW Honor Guard.
