Obituary
Cheryle D. Stapleton, of Sharon, formerly of Hope Sound, Florida, passed away peacefully under hospice care Sunday evening, September 30, 2018, in her residence. She was 69.
Cheryle was born November 18, 1948, in Grove City, Pa., a daughter of Stanley and Barbara (Waldo) Dunbar. She was raised in Hermitage and attended Hickory High School until her junior year when she moved to Florida. Cheryle graduated from Pine Crest High School in Ft. Lauderdale and retired from Florida Power and Light where she was employed for more than thirty years.
Following the death of her husband, Howard Stapleton, she moved back to the Shenango Valley in 2008.
Cheryle was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was active for many years as a member and office holder of the VFW Auxiliary in Hope Sound.
Surviving is a daughter, Heather Bunyard and her husband Brett, of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Carol Walker and her husband Kim, of Alva, FL; and Connie Schenker and her husband Richard, of S. Pymatuning Twp.; and three grandchildren, Marti, Rachel and Bailey.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to UPMC Cancer Care Center, 2200 Memorial Dr., Farrell, Pa. 16121.
