Cheryl "Sherry" Ann Minto of Sharon passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 26, 2016, in her residence. She was 56.

Sherry was born June 29, 1960, in Sharon, a daughter of Ellsworth and Barbara Sager Hartshorn.

She was a 1979 graduate of West Middlesex High School and received her nurse's aide certificate from the Mercer County Career Center. She later studied child development at Penn State University, Shenango campus, and became a certified preschool teacher.

Sherry worked for Keystone Smiles Learning Center in Sharpsville for many years.

She was a member of the Slovak Home in Farrell.

Sherry enjoyed her grandchildren, taking care of people, going to the mountains, swimming, reading, her computer and being around people she loved.

She was a phenomenal cook as well as a practical joker.

Sherry is survived by: her husband, Robert Minto, whom she married February 23, 1980; two daughters, Michelle Worby and her husband Daniel, Dublin, OH; Jessica Minto and her companion Philip Martin, Sharon; two sons, Joseph Minto and Robert "Duke" Minto, both Sharon; a sister, Judith Murray and her husband Frank, Greenville; four brothers, James Hartshorn and his wife Diane, Sharon; Mark Hartshorn and his wife Aida, Washington state; Jeffrey Hartshorn and his wife Patty, Texas; Thomas Hartshorn and his wife Amanda, West Middlesex; nine grandchildren, Eric, Talon, Madison, Caleb, Ceceilia, Claire, Philip Jr., Benjamin and Ethan; her mother- and father-in-law, Donald and Willavene Minto, New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her parents
