Cheryl A. Bowen of 3017 Gardner Ln. New Castle, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 in her home after a brief illness. She was 55.

Mrs. Bowen was born October 7, 1955, in New Castle, a daughter of Bonnie Beach Gill.

She was a 1973 graduate of New Castle High School.

Cheryl was a member of St. Mary's Church ? Mary Mother of Hope Parish. She loved to cook. Most importantly Cheryl was a loving mother and wife. She cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are: her husband, Carl Bowen, whom she married June 1, 2001; a daughter, Amber Blashak of Erie, PA; a son, Noah Bowen who resides at home; 2 sisters, Kathy and her husband Anthony Campoli of New Castle and Jody Stefano of New Castle; a brother Russell and his wife Karen of New Castle; her mother Bonnie Gill and step father, Gene Gill; a brother-in-law, Richard Rausch ; Cheryl is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Rausch.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
