Catherine L. Bonaquist, formerly of 2979 Maplewood Dr. (S. Pymatuning Twp.) Sharpsville; passed away at 4 a.m. Wednesday (3-18-09) in Juniper Village at the Shenango Inn, 1330 Kimberly Rd., Sharon, where she was a resident for the past two years. She was 83.
Mrs. Bonaquist was born June 24, 1925 in Winber, (Somerset County), PA a daughter of the late Stanley and Adela Truckowsky Fascewsky.
She moved to the area as a young girl and was a graduate of Sharon High School.
Following high school and before she married, Catherine was employed at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.
A homemaker, she was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.
Her husband, Dante A. Bonaquist, whom she married February 14, 1953, passed away October 24, 2000.
Surviving are: two sons, Dante P. Bonaquist and his wife Deborah, Grand Island, NY; and Ramon F. Bonaquist and his wife Maria, Oakton, VA; five grandchildren, Joshua, Kate, Erin, Marc and Anna Catherine; and a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Angie Bonaquist, Sharpsville.
Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, John and Joseph Fascewsky; and three sisters, Anne Fascewsky, Helen Flowers and Louise Salandria.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Prince of Peace, 502 Darr Ave., Farrell, PA 16121.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday (3-21-09) in Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, with the Rev. Henry C. Andrae, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
