Mrs. Lackey was born February 8, 1936, in Tidioute, PA, a daughter of Samuel and Ida Sterns Strain. A 1955 graduate of Tidioute High School, she moved to the Shenango Valley in 1963 with her husband.

Charlotte was employed as a nurses aide for several years at Juniper Village at the Shenango Inn, Sharon. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Gerald L. Lackey, whom she married June 15, 1956, passed away  January 15, 1992.

Surviving are: three daughters, Nancy VanSickle and her husband John, Hadley, PA; Brenda Lackey and her wife Colleene Carosone, West Middlesex; and Tracy Trinckes and her husband Brian, Hubbard; eight grandchildren, John W. Vansickle; Bethany W. Sindlinger and her husband Clay; Christopher T. Dunn; Geri R. Dunn; Brandon T., Mason A., Amanda V. and Justin R. Trinckes; and two great-grandchildren, Grayson M. and Maci C. Sindlinger.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.
