Charles E. Williams of 1046 Rose Point Harlansburg Rd. New Castle, PA 16101, passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at his residence. He was 63.
Mr. Williams was born in New Castle, PA on December 19, 1945, a son of William and Laura Kennedy Williams.
Ed graduated from Shenango High School. After high school he went on to work for Flowline Company as an inspector for 42 years.
He attended First United Brethren Church. Ed also belonged to the Springfield Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Survivors include: his wife, Darlene Altman Williams, whom he married July 24, 1971; 2 daughters, Vicki and her husband Donald Bell and Christine and her husband Jay Sherman Jr. both of New Castle, PA; 3 sisters, Karen Park, Ed's twin sister of New Castle, PA, Sandra Miller of Ellwood City, PA, and Tamie Dess of New Castle, PA; 3 grandchildren, Jordon Bell and Alyssa and Joshua Sherman; he is also survived by his father-in-law Henry Altman; a brother-in-law Gary and his wife Janet Altman.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; mother-in-law, Helen Altman; 2 brother-in-laws, Willis Park and Joseph Miller.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 West Falls St. New Castle, PA 16101.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Bell pastor of First United Brethren Church, New Castle.
Internment will take place at the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
