Charles "Chuckie" M. Toten, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. He was 74.
Mr. Toten was born April 18, 1943, in Sharon, a son of Michael and Myrtle Blair Toten.
He was a 1961 graduate of Sharpsville High School, and served with the US Army, during the Vietnam War.
Chuckie was employed as an auto mechanic; a taxi cab dispatcher in Buffalo, NY; and most recently, worked in the oil field.
Chuckie was of Catholic Faith.
He enjoyed roller skating and spending time with his sister Judy's grandchildren.
Surviving are: a son, Michael Steven Walker, Buffalo, NY; four sisters, Judy Soloski and her husband Joseph, Farrell; Josephine Brown, Kansas; Julia Marie Dever and her husband Edward, Sharpsville; and Martha Jane McCutchen and husband Denny, Sharpsville; a grandchild, Jordan Walker; his caretakers, Michael and Amy Soloski; two great nieces, Danielle and Isabella "Little Tornado" Soloski; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chuckie was preceded in death by a son, Julius Caracci; his stepfather, Julius Caracci; three sisters, Joanne Chiavazza; Eugenia Witziman; and Mary Ann Kennedy.
The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 1195 Jacks Run Rd., North Versailles, PA 15137.
Calling hours: Tuesday (01/31/2017) from noon until the time of the service in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday (01/31/2017) in the funeral home, with Rev. Glenn Crytzer of Three Rivers Hospice, officiating.
Burial in America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
