Charles 'Chuck' H. Kloss, Jr., 335 York Way, Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 1:20 p.m. Monday (9-21-09) in his home following an extended illness. He was 59.
Chuck was born March 30, 1950 in Sharon a son of the late Charles H. Kloss, Sr. and Susan Haun Kloss.
He was a lifelong Sharon resident and a 1968 graduate of Sharon High School.
Chuck was employed at Phillip's Steel Co., Wheatland, for 34 years.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Chuck and his wife are longtime season ticket holders for the Sharon High Tigers where their children were members of the football team and marching band. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirate fan. Although he enjoyed playing bingo, his greatest pleasure was the time he shared with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his wife at home, the former Connie J. Daniels, whom he married December 20, 1974; a daughter, Kimberlyn J. Purkey and her husband Stephen, Sharon; a son, Charles H. Kloss, III and his fiancé Dawn Parrish, Brookfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Alex, Alysia and Stevie; and a brother, Raymond Kloss and his wife Bonnie, Hermitage.
Besides his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Egelsky and Margaret Zachrich.
