Obituary

Charles E. 'Chuck' Broz of Masury, OH, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his residence, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 66.

Mr. Broz was born in Sandusky, OH, on September 29, 1944, a son of James E. and Dorothy M. Mierke Broz.

He was a 1962 graduate of Howland High School in Howland, OH. Following high school, Chuck attended Youngstown State University.

Chuck retired after 43 years as a Union Representative and Laborer at Delphi Packard. Following his retirement, he went on to become a school bus driver for STA and drove for the Sharpsville School District, driving Bus #99.

Chuck was a member of South Pymatuning Community Church. Chuck leaves the other loves of his life; his favorite Pittsburgh Steelers, a good cigar and a fine dry red wine and his love for a good round of golf.

He is survived by: his wife, Nancy Powell Greene Broz, whom he married July 18, 1977; He also leaves his loving children, Melissa Broz and her companion Ron of Bristolville, OH; a son, Eric Broz of Austintown, OH, a daughter Juli Burns and her husband Jimmy of Newtonfalls, OH, a daughter, Jamie Mild and her husband R.P. of Hubbard, OH; his grandchildren, Mathew, Brooke, and Katherine Burns and Lily, Robert and Ava Mild. He will be sadly missed by his 3 Amigos, Tommy Dugan, Ray Perkins, and Bob Fleischer, and his dear friend John Molnar. Chuck also leaves behind a brother Billy Broz of Seattle, WA, and a sister Mary 'Gracie' Kachurik of Cortland, OH; a step-mother, Marcene Broz and several step brothers and sisters all of the Sandusky area. His sister-in-law Jackie Miller and Diane Powell of Sharon, PA and a brother-in-law, Herbert Powell of Lucinda, PA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and to know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Herbert and Lucille M. Powell and his two brothers in law, Robert 'Gomer' and Gerald 'Jerry' Powell and a sister in law Sueanne Powell.

Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the funeral home with Jeff Turk an elder at South Pymatuning Community Church.

Interment will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
