Charles D. "Chuck" Carroll, Sharpsville, passed away peacefully at 4:39 a.m. Wednesday (8-22-12) surrounded by his family in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 51.
Chuck was born January 16, 1961 in Sharon to Donald and Beatrice Bortz Carroll.
He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Sharon High School in 1978. He had been employed by Young's Vending for thirty years. He also worked construction doing home improvements for twenty years and most recently he owned and operated CC's games and music. Chuck belonged to various clubs and organizations. He was a free and accepted mason and belonged to the Shenango Valley Lodge 810, Hermitage.
Chuck loved to bowl and belonged to several leagues over the years. He was active with the Sharpsville Little League where he served as treasurer and where he loved to watch his sons play ball. Chuck most of all enjoyed teaching his three sons the sport of bowling and golf, and his greatest love was spending time with all his children.
His wife the former Michelle Vadala whom he married September 12, 1996, survives at the residence.
He also leaves his six children, Bradley Carroll and his wife Angie, Amy Zolnier and her husband Steve, and Sean Carroll, all of Sharon, Adam, Justin, and Alex Carroll, all who reside at home, two grandsons, Bryce and Seth Carroll, his two sisters Mary Stitt and her husband Bill, Hermitage, Darlene Greene and her husband Jim, Lexington KY, and three brothers, Paul Carroll and his wife Lucy, Savage, MN, Pete Carroll and his wife Kathy Southhaven MS, and David Carroll, Sharon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother John Carroll.
His family suggests that in lieu of flowers to please consider making a memorial contribution to the Chuck Carroll Benefit Fund through First National Bank.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (8-27-12) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church with Rev. Marc Stockton, pastor, as the celebrant.
Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
