Charles E. Baker of Hermitage passed away at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, in the emergency room at Sharon Regional Health System. He was 70.
Mr. Baker was born March 19, 1947, in Wheatland, a son of Charles and Katherine Williams Baker and attended school at Mercer Area School District. Charles loved attending MCAR and going to bible study there on a daily basis. He also enjoyed coloring, watching movies with his roommates, helping out in the community, dancing, going to the park, playing with dogs, family dinners and especially Christmas. Charles was full of life and his favorite quote was "I Know".
Surviving are: two sisters, Jean Jewel, Clark; and Patricia Scriven and her husband Daniel, Atlantic, PA; an uncle, Joe Baker and his wife Janice, West Middlesex; and three nieces and two nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Paul and Frank Baker.
Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the time of service Monday (08/28/2017) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
Burial: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
