Cecelia F. Kelly, 86 of Rhodes Estates, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her residence.

Cecelia, lovingly known as 'Flo' by her family and friends, was born in New Castle on March 31, 1925 to the late Eugene B. Callahan and Elizabeth Gardner Callahan.

She married Edward W. Kelly on June 19, 1945 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1990.

Flo was a graduate of New Castle High School and later worked at and retired from Republic Steel in Youngstown.

She was a life time member of St. Mary Church, Mary Mother of Hope Parish. She was a former member of St. Mary's Ladies Guild and Little Flower Club along with the Blue Army of our Lady of Fatima and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 512.

Surviving her are two daughters, Elizabeth Stephens and her husband Henry of Carmel, IN and Linda Cwynar and her husband Richard of Dublin, OH. One son, Thomas E. Kelly and his wife LuAnn of New Castle. Three sisters, Margaret Reider of Mesa AZ, Betty Graham and Theresa Owens both of New Castle. Nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Cecelia M. Kelly and a son Joseph F. Kelly. A great-grandson, Nathan Stephens, one sister Emma J. 'Toots' Flynn and five brothers; Edward, Eugene, Ernie, Harold and Richard Callahan.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Monday for St. Mary Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM by the Rev. Victor J. Molka Jr., Pastor.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St.Vincent DePaul Society at St. Mary Church.
