Obituary
Cathy Iman Rueberger of Hermitage passed away at
2:20 p.m.
Saturday, January 2, 2016, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after a long courageous battle with leukemia.
She was 50.
Mrs. Rueberger was born May 5, 1965, in Rochester, NY, a daughter of Herbert C.A. Iman, Sr. and Betty Johnson Iman.
Cathy was a 1983 graduate of West Middlesex High School.
She and her husband own and operate Rueberger's Wallpapering in Hermitage.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Church and the Maennerchor Club, both Sharon.
Cathy relished her role as a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting and babysitting her neighbor's grandchildren.
She also loved tending to her flowers and koi pond and feeding the humming birds.
Surviving are: her husband of 26 years, Peter N. Rueberger, whom she married August 29, 1987 in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell; two daughters, Katrina M. Rueberger and Elizabeth A. Rueberger, both at home; her mother, Betty Iman; a sister, Betty Mincer and her husband Dane; 5 brothers, Donald Iman and his wife Vickie; Harry Iman and his wife Janice; Wayne Iman and his wife Tami; Herbert Iman, Jr. and his wife Bobbi; and David Iman; her mother-in-law, Erika Rueberger; a sister-in-law, Tina Rueberger Gelesky; and a brother-in-law, Rev. Rick Rueberger and his wife Linda.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father; a brother, John E. Iman; her father-in-law, Peter Rueberger, Jr.; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday, January 9, 2016 , in St. Anthony's Church, 804 Idaho St., Sharon.
Mass of Christian burial will be noon Saturday in the church.
Interment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hermitage. Arrangements by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
