Obituary
Catherine Ann Gauchel, 73, of Hermitage, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2019, in her home.
Mrs. Gauchel was born August 7, 1945, in Racine, Wisc., a daughter of the late Anthony and Emily Ewens. She was a 1964 graduate of St. Catherine's High School in Racine and earned her associate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Following her education, Catherine was employed by S.C. Johnson and Son in Racine.
Catherine was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
A homemaker, she was a phenomenal cook, baker and quilter.
Her husband, James Gauchel, whom she married September 9, 1967, died November 23, 2018.
She is survived by two daughters, Steph Gauchel and her spouse Jess Glasser, of Medford, MA, and Susan Wilson; a son, Patrick James Gauchel, of Newark, OH; a son-in-law, Duane Wilson, of Hermitage; four grandchildren, Aurora, Faith, Morgan and Skylar Wilson; a sister-in-law, Mary Harter, of Decatur, IL; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Gauchel and his spouse Alan Tolentino, of Alexandria, VA.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
