Carolyn J. Scott, 85, of Neshannock Twp. passed away peacefully surrounded by her children early Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mrs. Scott was born November 26, 1938, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frederick and Rhoda (Lambright) Krueger.

A homemaker, Carolyn worked at Troutman's Dept. Store in downtown New Castle for several years and also worked in the cafeteria of the former St. Mary's Parochial Grade School.

Carolyn was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church, now Holy Spirit Parish.

She loved gardening and working in her yard.

Her husband of 68 years, Wm. Robert Scott, preceded her in death on February 4, 2023.

Carolyn is survived by a son, Gary Scott, of Neshannock Twp.; two daughters, Linda McQuiston, of Hermitage, and Marcia Fisher (Kirk), Macomb, MI; a sister, Rhonda Stewart, of Lutz, FL; three grandchildren, Cullen Scott, Reyna Baker (Casey), Kelsey Lancia (Michael); and two great-grandchildren, Michael Lancia, III and Kinley Lancia.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Krueger.

Calling hour will be 11 a.m. to noon on Friday (10-25-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following at noon in the funeral home, with Rev. Ben Barr, officiating.
