Carole Diane (Shayuth) Alexander, 72, of Sharon, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday morning, June 10, 2026, in her home.

Carole was born on December 3, 1953, in Sharon, the oldest of four children of the late William and Eulene Laverne (Fudge) Shayuth. A native of Sharon, she was a graduate of Sharon High School and spent several years in Washington, D.C., working for the Navy before heading west to Torrance, CA, where she built a career with Northrop Grumman. After retiring from professional life, Carole’s life came full circle. She returned to Sharon, PA, devoting her retirement years to the loving care of her aging parents.

Carole enjoyed spending time with her family. She believed in staying active. Her favorite days were spent outdoors on nature trails, hiking, kayaking, and she brought that same discipline to her daily gym workouts. In her quieter moments, she expressed her creativity and warmth through crocheting. She always chose to find the best in any situation, all the way until the end. Carole cherished life without reservation and will be forever missed by those fortunate enough to know, love, and be loved by her.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Bishop and her husband, Steve; her granddaughter, Gypsy Bishop, all of Green Mountain Falls, CO; three siblings, Melinda Shayuth and her husband, Daniel Knapp, of Silver Spring, MD, Susan Little and her husband, Timothy, of Sharon, and Brian Shayuth, of Frederick, MD; and a niece, Jessica Shayuth, of Charles Town, WV.

In keeping with Carole’s request for simplicity and privacy, a private service will be held.
