Carol Louise Windl of Sharon passed away Saturday (12-5-15) in her residence. She was 59.
Mrs. Windl was born Feb. 20, 1956, in Cleveland, a daughter of Robert
and Marilyn Frericks Shields.
She graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School, Andover, and went on to attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where she obtained her associate's degree in interior design.
She was a longtime member of the Eastern Stars, Jefferson, Ohio.
Carol is survived by: a son, Nicholas Horn and his wife Aimee, Sharon; a daughter, Anna Horn, Ashtabula, Ohio; two sisters, Janet, Michigan; and Pam, New Jersey; a brother, Robert Shields, Cleveland; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Spencer, both Sharon; and companion, Larry LaVigne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald Shields.

Service: Funeral at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey M. Harter, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, officiating.
Interment: Shadyside Cemetery, Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
