Carol Trapp Vicario, formerly a longtime resident of Sharon, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Tampa, FL. She was 83.
Mrs. Vicario was born July 22, 1935, in Erie, PA, and attended Villa Maria College, where she majored in art. She married Frank Vicario in 1956, and moved to Sharon, PA., where she raised her family of six, Michael (Elisa) Vicario, Raleigh, NC, Frank (Janet) Vicario, Richmond,VA, Lisa (Jack) Lyons, St. Petersburg FL, Jolene (Mike) Hughes, Hilo, HI, Julie (Ken) Bencetic, Hubbard, OH and Mia (Jamie) Creed, Kernersville, NC.
A devout catholic, her life was one of service to her God, His church, and her family.
Carol was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, where she worked in the parish office for 30 years. She was also involved in many of the Erie Diocese's Cursillo weekend retreats.
Carol was not only a great mother, but was also an amazing artist. She was able to find beauty in everything around her and displayed it through her creativity.
Carol loved the sunshine and the beach, so much so that she moved to Florida in 2000. While in Florida she became a member of the Red Hat Society and also enjoyed many activities, such as swimming, billiards, and bowling.
Carol is survived by her children, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and a sister.

Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the time of celebration Monday, April 22, 2019, in J. Bradley Mcgonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
