Carol A. Laskey, 75, of Hermitage, passed away after a long, courageous battle on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.

Mrs. Laskey was born on November 10, 1950, in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of Guy and Earleen (Ramsey) McCracken. She was a 1968 graduate of Beaver (PA) High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Wooster (OH) College. Later, she received her master’s degree from Slippery Rock University.

Carol was a true and compassionate therapist and was a go-to for many clients, family members and students. She worked as a therapist at Associates in Counseling and Child Guidance (ACCG) in Sharon. Additionally, she was employed by the Sharon School District.

A sports fan, she loved to cheer on her boys. Even after, she kept up with local and Pittsburgh sports teams. She also found joy in reading and shopping.

Her husband of 36 years, Steven M. Laskey, whom she married on March 10, 1990, passed away on April 4, 2026.

She is survived by two sons, Brady Milligan (Leah), of Ashville, NC, and Riley Milligan, of Monaca, PA; her mother, Earleen McCracken, of Hermitage; two grandchildren, Sophia and Maxwell Milligan; and two sisters, Linda Leary (Pat), of Sharon, and Nancy Netzel, of Hermitage. Also surviving are two step-sons, Eric Laskey, of Sharpsville, and Brandon Laskey, of Hermitage; and a step-daughter, Adrianne Laskey, of Hermitage; and her beloved step-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her father.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon on Friday (09/18/2026) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com

Funeral service will immediately follow at noon on Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. William Crooks officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
