Carol S. Flynn of Niles, Ohio passed away at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2018, in her residence, after an extended illness.
She was 73.
Mrs. Flynn was born November 3, 1944, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Felix Patrick and Gladys (Messett) Hines.
She attended the former St. Joseph Parochial Grade School, Sharon, and was a 1963 graduate of Sharon High School.
Carol was employed at Metz Bakery following high school and later served as a private home health care provider for more than 15 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing and shopping.
Surviving is her husband, Robert E. Flynn, Jr., whom she married May 28, 1966 in St. Joseph Church, Sharon; two daughters, Robin A. Maule and her husband Harold, of Hermitage; and Bonnie M. Flynn, of Sharon; four grandchildren, Dannie, Kevin, Nicholas and Scotti Maule; a sister, Nancy Seegers, Howland, Ohio; and a brother, David Hines and his wife Karen, also of Howland.
Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Hines; and three sisters, Barbara Gancos, Diane Coyne and Bonnie Hines, who died in infancy.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a local non-profit animal advocacy organization.
Per Carol's wishes, there are no calling hours.
Private Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
