Carmen J. Aiello, Sharon, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013. He was 83. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Aiello was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. and retired from the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant after 42 years of service. Surviving are: his wife, former Judith Belle Thompson, at home; two daughters, Joyce Mosher and her husband Allyn, Breckenridge, Colo.; and Lisa Rene Aiello, Sharpsville; three sons, Curtis Devlin and his wife Susan, Pittsburgh; Stephen Devlin and his wife Janet, Coshocton, Ohio; and Carmen Aiello II and his wife Leigh, Sharpsville; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, his twin, Joseph R. Aiello and his wife Bernice, Farrell; and Anthony J. Aiello and his wife Deborah, Port Richey, Fla. Carmen was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Caterina Scalzo Aiello; two sisters, Teresa Scully and Mary Russo; a brother, Nick Aiello; and a nephew, Nicholas Aiello. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Buhl Park Corp., 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage, PA 16148. Service: In keeping with Carmen's wishes, a private memorial service will be held for the family in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
