Carmella J. 'Tootsie' Pellegrino, 2020 Madison St., Hermitage, Pa., passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday (2-25-10) at her residence. She was 78.
She was born on January 28, 1932 in Sharon, the daughter of Dominick and Jennie Fanelli Esposito.
A lifelong area resident, she was a 1949 graduate of Sharon High School.
Tootsie was a self employed interior decorator who specialized in both custom Window Treatments and Quilted Bedspreads.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.
A homemaker, she simply loved being at home with her family and in her spare time she enjoyed doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and she will be sadly missed by all.
Her husband, Patsy James Pellegrino whom she married on November 5, 1955, survives at the residence. She also leaves her two daughters, Pamela M. Pellegrino, Sharon, and Karen L. Shollenberger and her husband Donald, East Liverpool, OH; two sons, Marc J. Pellegrino and his wife Lorraine, New Castle, and Gary V. Pellegrino at home; her sister, Marie A. Esposito, Anaheim Hills, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours: 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday (2-28-10) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (3-1-10) at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with Rev. Donald E. Berdis, pastor as the celebrant.
A brief prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. prior to leaving for the church.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
